Ahead of Children’s Day Dr. Rao’s ENT Cochlear Implant Centre hosted a celebration titled Voices of Joy to recognize the milestones of over two hundred children who have undergone life changing hearing procedures. Under the leadership of Dr. Shree Rao the event featured Padma Shri awardee Dr. Manjula Anagani as the chief guest who joined the team in celebrating the success of young patients. This gathering highlighted the importance of early hearing intervention which is the process of identifying and treating hearing loss in infants and young children to ensure they can develop speech and communication skills naturally. For these children a cochlear implant serves as an electronic medical device that provides access to sound by stimulating the auditory nerve which allows them to participate fully in a world previously defined by silence.
The celebration was a testament to the resilience of the children and the effectiveness of modern medical solutions in achieving a deaf free India. Through music and performances and communal joy the event showcased how restoring hearing can build confidence and open new doors for the next generation. Dr. Shree Rao remains dedicated to ensuring that every child has the chance to listen and learn and live a life without the limitations of hearing impairment. By combining surgical expertise with a compassionate support system the hospital continues to turn hearing loss into a journey of hope and opportunity for families across the country. This mission is driven by the belief that timely intervention can permanently change the trajectory of a child’s life and foster a more inclusive society.
