Dr. Shree Rao participated in CIGICON 2026, the 23rd National Conference of the Cochlear Implant Group of India, held in Agra from September 4–6, 2026.
The conference brought together leading cochlear implant surgeons, audiologists, clinicians, and professionals from across India to share knowledge and advances in hearing care. Dr. Rao presented the BEEP (Bionic Ear Evoked Potential) Study at the Advanced Bionics Symposium, highlighting research into recording cortical auditory evoked potentials directly through the cochlear implant to understand how the brain responds to sound.
The symposium also featured experts including Dr. Aniket Saoji, Director of the Cochlear Implant Program at Mayo Clinic, USA, and Mr. Fernando Chapa, Vice President of Research and Development at Advanced Bionics.
The event reflected the continuing evolution of cochlear implant research, clinical practice, and technology in India and beyond.
