What is Vertigo?

Vertigo is a symptom where one feels the sensation of the surroundings spinning or moving around him or her. Its intensity can go from barely perceptible to so high that the person finds it difficult to maintain balance or equilibrium and becomes incapable of performing routine chores. A vertigo attack can last for a few seconds or minutes, or for a few days at a stretch.
